Scott Wozniak- Two Poems

Scott Wozniak is a poet who, as of late, has been more concerned with writing than submitting. He's sure this will undoubtedly lead to less writing and more submitting in the near future, but he really hopes not. He urges you all to go throw wrenches at cogs.

Den of Demons

The last house
on the block
was ours.

Neighborhood
kids said
it was
haunted.

They could hear
people screaming,
doors slamming,
glass breaking,
evil howling
from a block away.

The demons
living
inside
those walls
were far more
vicious
than any ghost
they could ever
imagine.

Uniqueness is Fatal

What use
have we
with the scars,
the trauma,
the tears,
the memories?

Should we
hide them
or
pull the covers
from them?

The real question
is, do you
want to act
as if
no one
understands
and you’re
all alone
in this
struggle
or do you
want to move
forward
to the next
chapter?
