the path of beauty

I only get to walk the path of beauty once

and I don't want to do it in rags.

Or, for that matter, in rage.

DARKNESS

I understand
how darkness
exists so I can
sometimes
see the stars.

KISS

A kiss
doesn’t just happen once
it happens forever
even after the acrid divorce
it sits there
in its youthful cloak
of hope and wild
anticipation
