Francis Annagu- A Poem

TRANSFIGURATION

(for a country)

Ploy us to

Other side of

The railway track,

Then shall we

Be proud of

This vinegar

Submission

To your saturated

Shoulder, when

Our swollen tongues

Like Sponges

Are stampeded by

A dark-lit train.
