Denny E. Marshall- Three Poems

Find Your Own Way

Look hard enough into the night
Fine the answers never mirrored
Look long enough into the sky
Beauty does not replace the rust
Stare deep into the vast oceans
The blue attached not liquid
Walk long enough into the land
Reflection fade into the lake
The rough behind the mountain
Guide to the path by the roadway

Eclipse

Beauty and depth
I felt… and looked into
She was standing
Out on the porch
Like a sun… set
Her light has not faded
However hidden
Bright as a star… stars
It took the world
To block the fire
Nothing would have the power
To extinguish

Quiet Birds Of Loneliness

Looking on with old eagle eyes
Quiet birds of loneliness can fly
Except the wind, all is silent
Wings reaching out toward the sky
Substitute words sing the moment
Time flows like a river slipping by
Looking on with old eagle eyes
Quiet birds of loneliness can fly
