ode to a fascist clown
the first time I ever saw homeless people
was in New York
in the 1980s
they were mostly men
leaning up
against
walls
holding out paper
cups
they looked sad
and tired
my mother and I
always
gave a dollar
to this one or
that one
but it seemed
there were
always
more of them on
the streets
the next day
thanx for nothing, Ronald Reagan.
