Adam Levon Brown- A Poem

What is life,
but a reflection
of light passing

The musty
taste of cheap cigarettes
on the lips

The noise of traffic
invading the ears
from dusk 'till dawn

The feel of velvet
as death holds a
lax grip around your
neck at all times

The smell of the earth
as you try and try to bury
your past deep within
the ground of your mind

What is life?
