YEARBOOK PHOTO

Our family cat
Sat gazing at her
Reflection in a
Full-length mirror

That made it seem
She was not alone
Even though it was
Only herself

I chose it because
My high school years
Were when I was
My own best friend

The only one
That understood
Without having
To say a word
