The Shadow of the Gift

The first step, taken in hope and trust, is paramount to our awakening.

Support will always be provided, willingly and freely, through the hands and minds of the charitable and transparently merciful. Open awareness and acceptance of this are simple requisites of faith.

Steady as the light of day, reliable well past any understanding, subtle as the sounding bell, the truth delves deep within our open heart, unearthing a unique response to infinite grace.

Looking up from mundane preoccupations of self and isolation, gazing into eternal skies, the shadow of the gift can be neither touched nor taken.

The challenge is to accept it in humble silence, in quiet absence of thought and image, fleeting resonance of clear quiescence, sheen of motive confluence containing life’s true bounty.
