Ananya S. Guha- A Poem

To Whom It May Concern

To whom it may concern
I am not, I am getting
out of such fancied
office dichotomies
official procedures
of writing assertions
which have no concern.
The stamp pad glares
ominously on the writing
pad, but for those whom
I stamp my signature with
gusto, are trapped in this
circuitous haggle for getting
the nod of officialdom.
Why? I ask.
Applying for a position Sir.
Then I know what it means
and sign quickly.
To all it may concern...
sign up fast for this rat
race of lining for jobs
knowing you won't get one.
I'll continue to sign, till I retire
and then very casually apply
for another one.
Who, will then be concerned?
