Martin Tomlinson- A Poem

American Dream

I needed to leave the computer
To stop it’s pulsing, obsessive rhythms
Hush it pointless info rush
One drug uniting us
Telling us to be independent and sexy
Taking away our freedom
One more day
And I will be lost
Into a world of 1’s and 0’s

Martin is a teenage poet and musician from the Midwest his poetry has been published 11 times and he has performed on stage multiple times at the Walnut Valley Festival.
