Clayton Bye- One Poem

Thoughtless

The wind blew today,
ruffling up thoughts
better left alone.

Your face haunts me,
beauty beyond reach
in the hands of time.

Leaves curl and colour:
toes and swirls of frost--
the bite of  death.

Such is my mind
this blustery day;
face, time, toes of frost.

Biting, befuddling,
twists and empty turns:
my thoughts aren't here.

Where? I don't know.
But for beauty, dead?
Your face, your face, your...
