The jacked up birthday list

has been taped to 

the refrigerator door

for me to peruse:

Lego set # 4567 blah blah 

lego set # 1235 yada yada

yummy cake,

lots of love,

surprises,

but the last item on

the list catches me

by surprise

#8 nuclear bomb

I know its my fault

I took him to see

the replicas of

little boy and fat man

at los Alamos

I took his picture

and made him smile

possibly while 

throwing up a gang sign 

but I hope not

its all my fault

he penned a 

jacked up birthday list

and when I ask him

about it 

he only giggles
