Felino A. Soriano- Three Poems

from Oscillating Echoes

23

     ballad

of
                             night's graying /

silence of

                                                         day's continuous ambition

/ of what contorts in deliberate           function             this delving fabrication /

                   onward praise tomorrow's insinuation of

antiquated fulcrums, of rust

each hinge of incident

transfers an illness
into the hybrid beginning
nuance of developing appraisal of
sustained alteration

24

soon, as when death forgets you.  I've created
reductions to include space for adding what
reconfigured my past hallucinations.  certainty
is what the speaker dissolves in the prior fulcrum
of hand-in warmth evaporating with silence's
operatic tonal affirmations.

25

there are mirrors
exacting position
     the body portends it

sustains a satirical standard                                                           believes its

serial changes include alteration to the system of syllables' exterior architecture;

of what hides also
intervenes with whom hides

from the diligence of annual confirmation of age's
intricate performance, adulation of sustained misleading invention
