Josh Marshall- A Poem

"Sweetheart"

There's an iron tree
lying in the middle of the street.
There's a lovely boy up the road,
waiting for me to rub his feet.

It's a little dusty
crying in a private shoe store.
But there's nothing better
than having a sweetheart that
you truly adore.

You keep the cherry
trying to reach that pot of gold.
The kid in the jail cell
keeps getting arrested because
he's very bold.
