Steve Calamars- Three Poems

after lorca
an inch from
the bottom
and i’m already
rising to new
but the view
induces vertigo
and i’m quickly
back to where
the sun sleeps
and the stars
shrivel like
raisins . . .
i’m throwing money
out the
the crows
pick it
like stale
moldy bread
after midnight
a mexican girl
with thighs thick
as cough syrup
sleeps in
my bed . . .
