Felino A. Soriano- Two Poems

from a wearing of light

i.

crooked caw orientation              corvine natural cloth of
angles’
           wearable hands etching shape into
configurable liaisons to understand my broken          inheritance—

a father’s been lavender, to say, left

somewhat to heal as the afterward relives and beehive

frenzy extends exterior to devoted architectural hovering:

the window couldn’t hold well with open dialogue toward ground and the hardened heart it couldn’t soak into malleable alteration

ii.

This surplus of vanishing eyelash curvature.

                   And.
And said the decorative cylinder carrying

water to enthrall an hour’s arid

                                                                            retroactive sins.

Each hour
        hangs onto
a predetermined name, plagiarized.

iii.

l a s t                                              night (you) when I found

the 1/3rd-stain penny paying for luck’s anatomy of broken beliefs

(you) entrusted hovering hands to pivot and not stare in grasping syllables respelling trust; also (you) requested insurance
to gain a fulcrum of sleep and reciprocate         and with a devoted
lean
the body I’ve become

could not burgeon from palms of that moment’s gradated changes
     and
though moon’s always silver
my skin’s tonal rhythms alter when I dance and cannot afford
laughter’s effort to estimate emotion

What cannot be told

I heard a brilliant whisper
dispel the enormous trunk of logic.

The whisper waited, oscillated
kaleidoscopic eyes
and redeveloped idea—                   spoke toward a hearing hinged aggregation of ciphering images.

I felt a gift trace and retrace the good side
of my best facial feature.  Warmth.  My body
                                                     learned
as to negate all the scolding
pushed under my youth’s fingernails.

A restraint limited complete
corporeal culmination.        An aspect
of thunder changed upon
birds’ artistic abbreviated etch             unlearn

left an echo
of itself
across the bordering
benefit of my hearing and
approbating lungs
exhaling hope to insure
actuality.
