Discontinued Transportation Corps to Europe
They still call
the Korean Conflict the
Forgotten War,
but my great uncle Oscar
didn’t want to
talk about WWI or what
came before all
that either to include the
precursor to the
FBI killing its own citizens
in steam age
annihilation vapor as Uncle
Oscar continued
to turn his head away onto
an interior wall
as if it were a big passenger
window out a
troop train saying “they told
me about a
million horses sailed overseas
but only a few
ghost ponies came back”
