We Can Do Anything
Grab a bottle and follow me,
we’ll tear open the fiery skies
and blow on the coals of the
afternoon sun.
Plant some new stone circles,
dance naked between each
cold surface,
in a bestial trance of defiance.
Find a midnight angry beach,
take a blowback from the
North Westerly winds
and pull the waves to us like
We can do anything tonight,
amphetamine’s too slow, compared
to the adrenalin in my veins,
take my hand, I’ll show you

Simply Applauding This
I stood in the doorway of HMV
watching the homeless man
shout at the passers by.
It was absolutely pissing down.
“It’s only rain!” he yelled confused.
“It never changes, its water,
you can only get wet once,
you’re all a bunch of lunatics.
Money well spent indeed, nutter’s,
those clothes should be protecting you
not you protecting them.
Hide in those doorways,
leave the soaking streets to me,
my clothes are full and heavy,
you have made me king
the rain is simply applauding this!”
