Dandelions Monster Song
Dandelions are one of the first
To appear eager yellow close
To the ground innocent hug
Within her salad leaves
Standing taller getting bold
When this happens into
A sphere of spores blown
Away on children's breath
A roaring mane tiny parachutes
Off the seed head Stem
Becoming a pea head
The younger brothers and sisters
Soon appear with the same
Intent to pepper my lawn
That they all become
Pea heads thousand of
Monsters spent to wilt
Stubborn their ugliness
Clinching tap roots bowel
Into the earth I buy
A special tool to pry
The dragon tail wagging
With dirt
I should have plucked them
In their yellowness
Some say can be made
Into wine then we would be speaking
Rudimentary French 101 oh dandy lion
Drinking to green grass
And blue sky no pea heads
In the conversation's song

ahh, I am back in those dandilion days digging under blazing sky with yellow stained short fingers and dull knife to fill a crumpled brown bag for a quarter.
