Open Concept
They say the room
is open concept.
Just like they talk about
some people.
We have a two-party system,
at least, and multitudes
of religious views.
Some spit vitriol, some
spill kindness, some yet
rest in the corner, a vase,
an empty shelf waiting to be filled.
They love who they love,
act how they act,
eschewing judgment and knowing
how eyes rove and analyze,
how words can be like stones,
and how much it all really matters
in the end.
