Tamara Turner- A Poem

Tolerance

Seeing the muddle
In the road
Collar still attached
You know it’s a pet
Once beloved and care for
Perhaps by a child
And who knows for how long
Sometimes right in front of their homes
Left there to rot in the heat
On the street
We are a nation
Truly uncivilized

Tamara currently lives in the Inland Empire of Southern California with her kitty, Gus.
