INSPIRATION
Sometimes it comes
When I see a small bird
Caught in the jaws
Of a starving cat
And sometimes it comes
In a young man running
Just missing the bus
To his final exam
And sometimes it comes
When I answer the phone
And hear an old woman
Ask for someone else
And sometimes it comes
In a wind that breaks
The last living limb
Of a dying tree
