TWO SHORT POEMS
OH, I GET IT
This is a democracy, right?
We get to choose between
the latest photogenic, chin-jutting
corporate criminal,
or the year's top weaselwiggle commissar.
Freedom's just another word.
I like to take my time with guys,
she says, taking my hand from her knee
and stretching so her nipples as if by accident
pop against her spandex top
How can she say that,
my blood complains,
when guys understand
that time takes everything?
about me: 74 with no respect for authority of any kind, politically incorrect, with a resume only an artist could appreciate.
First one is right on target to the times we live. I often wonder if it has ever been any different? And aging just seems to happen when you are doing other things; like the waning moon suddenly just disappears.
