Stefanie Bennett- Two Poems

MORTIFICATION

Since there's the scarcity
Of timbre to it - what
Is it that's
Been fleeced
From me... ?

Separate tables!
A bogus
Wine waiter... and
The tuning-fork
Of a sub-let
Indefinable
Symphonic score.

Best be quick.
Either way
The minions play,
And Brahms -
In the wings
                   Has
Grown horns.

STEAM AND GOSPELS

So much to answer for -.
No-one to answer to.
Maybe
... Add a lobster
With
Intent
And
Put a lid

On it.
