Paul Tristram- A Poem

And Wanted All Of It

She lurched forward on crooked knees
with a bent umbrella above her right shoulder.
She smiled through the sky’s teardrops
and walked faster, more focused
upon the point of the day
which was him, completely.
She’d ironed his work clothes the night before,
shared a loaf of bread with him,
tangoed imaginatively through his fingers,
kissed the edges of his soul
and wanted all of it.
