AT THE EDGE OF A DREAM
I hear the wind cry
And I ask it
For what does it mourn
And it answers
With the broken voices
Of a sad chorus
The howl of a man
Hiding in a cave
Lost in his own shadow
The wail of a mother
Whose child is a bird
With amputated wings
The sigh of an artist
Whose every work
Is a mirror of herself
And the whisper of a poet
Caught in the web
Of a dead spider
