tear drops of heaven
falling upon
the dew
singing shadows upon the
acorns of expectations
for the coming
day,
and the world seems
lonesome and cold
grey melancholy
shivering
in what was supposed to be
a sunny afternoon;
complaints
against the weather
dance against my ears
i never listen
to the weatherman he always
utters lies,
just take the days as they
come rain or shine-
writing, writing
is every season and day
shimmering lakes
of emotion throbbing from my pen
touching the hearts
of all that read them.
kiss them with kindness
a little laughter
dances in
my veins
lighting my path through
darkness warming
pools of
my sunlit soul whose
flames
thrive and burn their embers to
help light a world
robed in the
darkness of apathy and indifference;
though, there are some
who would crush
my self-confidence in their palm
i won't remain
laying in the dust for i am
a fire tiger
i will unsheathe my claws
roar against
all the evil in the world-
though, i am one person, i know
i can make a difference
by dusting off my paws and kissing
my enemies with the kindness
they denied me.
owl
you're a hoot
scattering
feathers of your joy
so i can
embark in them, too,
and dreaming
of being anywhere but here
like me
wishing to shed
the skin of pennsylvania;
laughter
dances in my heart
when we
spend afternoons together
whiling away
all our time
catching up together and
being silly-
you never
dug deep talons of regret
into my life
you're a positive force
helping to drown
all the
darkness
that pirouettes into my life
on the wings of the
angry moon.
